Like I Was Never Here: This is a great monochrome outfit. The skirt flares out nicely with a skater style, making the outfit feminine by bringing the waist in and enhancing the hips. The skirt has a subtle embossed patterning on it; adding a little interest without being too obvious. The top is just a plain white, long sleeved top; something I think is essential to every girl’s wardrobe. It is great for the autumn and winter, through to the spring to keep the cool off. Continuing with the monochrome theme I just added black tights and some cute T-bar ballet flats with studs. The outfit is overall quite cute and girly but chic due to the monochrome aspect. This outfit is perfect for everyday wear and casual days.
If You Could See Me Now: This is quite an edgy look due to some of the elements of the outfit. Firstly the most obvious is the leather shorts. These are really flattering because they are high-waisted, perfect for day-to-night, and add some edge to any look. The top I’d cropped and has a cute daisy print in it but this had been made more edgy by the black and white of the print. The boots have a chunky heel, making them comfortable for all day, everyday wear and the buckles and cut-out detail add interest and again, a little edge. The fact I have added black tights means that the outfit becomes quite subtle with just a little skin showing above the shorts and below the top. This look is great for everyday but could easily be dressed up for a night out with some accessories.
Standing in the Hall of Fame: This look is great for a night out or a more formal occasion. The heels add some great height but because they are wedges are super comfy. Keeping the outfit completely black means that the subtle details aren’t drowned out like they usually would be, for example the studs on the heels and the mesh neckline on the dress. The dress is of a flattering shape, with a sweetheart neckline and mesh above it, a tight top and a flared skater skirt. This dress could easily be taken into a warmer season by taking the tights off, or into a colder one by adding a blazer. To go out I would probably take my hair down and add a clutch and some bracelets and rings, so it can easily be personalised or changed – you could even add a belt to enhance the waistline or add some colour.
