Never Say Never: This is an edgy, grunge outfit that takes inspiration from the 90’s. The short, plaid, pleated skirt which looks like a school-girl type skirt is one of my favourites. I am loving plaid/tartan at the moment and this one is one of my favourites with the bold and bright colours. To match in with the black on the skirt and to keep the rest of the outfit fairly plain I kept everything else in black. The shirt and jumper blend in together and with the black tights create a great plain background to showcase the skirt. The boots add to the edgy and tough feel with their buckles and studs and the dark lipstick ties everything together. This is a more casual outfit for every day wear but is still a statement and quite smart.
I’ll Tell You My Sins: This is a great, girly, casual outfit. The tucked-in, slightly-oversized jumper is white with ribbing detail and tiny coloured flecks. The white ties in with the petals on the daisies which are the pattern on the skirt. This is a great spring-time, casual outfit but could easily be worn out for lunch or in slightly smarter situations due to the wide-brim hat and the heeled boots; both of which make this a more interesting and edgy look. A white jumper and floral patterns on darker fabrics are a great way to start breaking out of the darker colours we often wear in winter without going too far too fast.
What It Is, What It Isn’t: Again, another look using florals on a dark fabric making the perfect transition between winter and spring fashion. I have taken a dress which is quite girly and smart and added a blazer to keep up the smart and crisp theme. I then added some more casual shoes which have rose gold buckles and a thick, chunky heel so add a little height without being uncomfortable. This look is really versatile and could be seen as either smart or casual. It could be dressed down by switching out the blazer for an oversized cardigan or dressed up by switching the shoes out for some chic heels or dainty ankle boots with a low heel.
