Until Then: This is a great outfit for smart/casual days when you have things to do which have a variety of ‘dress codes’. I put this in inverted commas because this isn’t a smart outfit that could be worn for say, going to the theatre or a first date, but you could wear it out for lunch with friends, probably to work (depending on where you work/what the rules are) and you could also wear it to go shopping or to university for lectures and you’d look smart but not like you’re trying too hard! The shoes add a little height but are still super comfy, which is great for looking a bit smarter without sacrificing comfort. This look could be dressed up with a statement necklace and some more elegant heels. but could easily be dressed down by switching the blazer for an oversized jumper.
Through The Gates: Another smart/casual outfit here! The buttoned up shirt and heeled boots say that this outfit is a smart one, but the jeans, hairstyle and oversized jumper suggest it’s more casual. The hat adds an edge to the look and also implies smartness. I love monochrome for the winter but this just starts to transition into spring with the lovely dark burgundy colour of the jumper. This is a really versatile look and could be worn out for lunch with friends or to go shopping, for coffee, etc. To dress it up a bit; switch the jeans for some smarter trousers, or to make it more casual; switch the heeled boots for some flat converses/sneakers.
You Never Said A Word: Florals are in every spring and this is a great outfit incorporating florals that is perfect for the transition between winter and spring. The jeans are rolled up slightly but still come to just above the ankle and the cardigan also keeps most of the cold out, but the colours are lighter and brighter with bright blue and red and a background of cream. The top matches in nicely with the pattern on the cardigan and pulls the whole outfit together. This is definitely a casual outfit for morning coffee with friends and everyday errands. It could be dressed up with some low heels or heeled boots and a statement necklace though!
