Hey everyone!

Something a little different today as I’m going to share some nail art with you. I saw a picture of this on Pinterest and also took inspiration from the Arctic Monkeys AM album art.

The Final Look

Step One:

Collection 2 in 1 Top & Base Coat

First protect your nail from staining with a base coat. My current favourite is this 2 in 1 Top & Base Coat by Collection.

Step Two:

Collection Lasting Gel Colour – Black Jack

You want to next paint your nails with a base colour. I’ve gone for black and used the Lasting Gel Colour from Collection in the shade Black Jack. You will probably need two coats, depending on the nail varnish you use; I needed two coats but just make sure it’s opaque.

Step Three:

Rimmel Nail Tip Whitener

Carefully use a striper or thin brush to paint on your line. Again you may need two coats of this. I went for white as it contrasted nicely with the black and used the Rimmel Nail Tip Whitener, which has a thin brush anyway.

Step Four:

Collection 2 in 1 Top & Base Coat

To seal in your design and give it a nice shine use a top coat. I used the Collection 2 in 1 Top & Base Coat again and then just waited for them to dry.

So that’s the final look! I really love this design and it’s quite subtle and really easy to do, yet it’s so effective. I had false nails on at the time so I painted over the top of those but this is definitely a design that could be done on shorter nails, as well as on longer ones.

Love xx
